Welcome, my name is Lindsay
I am so glad you are here
I am a Seattle native and spent many years raising and working with children and teens until I decided to pursue my long held dream of becoming a therapist. Story brought me to this path, both my own and my love of learning about others’ stories. I have three decades of experience as a client focusing on anxiety, depression, perfectionism, attachment, relational difficulties, spirituality and identity. I have benefited greatly from the tools I’ve gathered and the attunement, love, and compassion I have received from my various therapists over the years. It is my hope to provide you with that same care.
I am someone who loves to learn, finds rest and strength in being outside and tending to things with my hands. As I mentioned, I love story in all its forms and can often be found reading, listening to podcasts, watching shows, and talking with others. I believe in holding the tension of the very real pains of this world with the radical act of awe as a means of growth and survival. I value my roles as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, dog mom, and friend.
I hold a Master of Arts in Couples and Family Therapy from Seattle University and have a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Care of the Soul. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (MG61363333) in the state of Washington. Additionally, I am a member of the Shelterwood Collective.
My therapeutic approach
As a systemic therapist, I will invite us to listen for the ways in which your story has been influenced by broader systems of gender, race, class, culture, family, and spirituality. My therapeutic practices are informed by attachment and embodiment theory as well as Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. When working with couples, I incorporate Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and research from The Gottman Institute.
